2025 Science Literacy

Students from the NorthSTAR program joined university students from the Faculty of Science for a Science Literacy outreach event at the Manitoba Museum over the Thanksgiving weekend.

They presented a booth called Polar Bears on Thin Ice and talked about the science of monitoring polar bear health as an indicator of climate change.

The kids loved the matching scars game and had fun spinning the wheel to win a sticker!

Overall the weekend was fantastic and we loved to see all those eager kids participate in the learning of polar bears!
